摘要: Th is paper introduces two concepts - interactive governance and governability with a view to exploring their applicability for assessing the of natural resource systems. Governance in its broad sense suggests that not only state but also market civil society have prominent roles governing modern societies, from local international levels. Interactive highlights interactions between entities belonging these societal parties. Govern- ability defi ned as status sector or system such fi shery coastal region whole. e assessment approached by recognizing this whole consist three coherent analytical components: system-to-be-governed , interactions. Distinguishing conceptualising components forms step process which systems can be assessed. uses examples eld capture sheries illustrate potential utility governabilility an framework.
