摘要: Few studies have examined vocal expressions of emotion in children with autism. We tested the hypothesis that during social interactions, diagnosed autism would exhibit less extreme laugh acoustics than their nonautistic peers. Laughter was recorded a series playful interactions an examiner. Results showed exhibited only one type laughter, whereas comparison participants two types. No group differences were found for duration, mean fundamental frequency (F0) values, change F0, or number laughs per bout. Findings are interpreted to suggest express laughter primarily response positive internal states, rather using negotiate interactions.
