摘要: Bank filtration induces flow of surface water through a hydraulically connected aquifer by excess pumping from production well in the aquifer. This review presents four main geochemical processes relevant for inorganic geochemistry, with focus on iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn), during bank filtration: reduction near bank, oxidation well, carbonate dissolution, sorption to materials. Physical transport affect these influence redox state infiltrate. The presence Fe Mn infiltrate is directly related its status can necessitate drinking treatment after extraction. Long-term, situ sequestration requires precipitation oxide or solids, since front breakthrough at well.
