Adolescents' emotional affinity towards nature : a cross-societal study

摘要: The role of emotional affinity toward nature (EAN) in adolescents is investigated by studying the relationships EAN with willingness to protect environment and comparing Germany Lithuania. Results show that line previous research (e.g., Kals, Schumacher, & Montada, 1999), contributes significantly for pro-environmental commitment, while contact does not have a direct impact on this willingness. Cross-societal differences are found both commitments, being higher rural Lithuanian sample. findings discussed regard development societal factors explaining proenvironmental action.
