摘要: This paper very briefly summarizes an invited talk given at the Polar Cusp Conference in Norway, 1993. A more complete version could not be presented here due to a limitation of length and need for large amount color diagrams. Three topics were discussed. By using simultaneous DMSP observations midday auroral imagery soft particle precipitations, we examined location polar cusp proper (defined from electron ion characteristics) with respect broad band visible displays. The second topic was made by Far Ultra Violet (FUV) monochromatic imager onboard Bear satellite. FUV imaging technique opened new era magnetospheric atmospheric research, since it enabled us “see” space global displays under “all-weather” condition, independent season daynight conditions. third covered whether optical remote sensing platform used project different source regions onto ionosphere. Based on emission model inputs various (both electrons ions) precipitation features plasma (namely, cusp, rain, mantle, low latitude boundary layer, sheet, central sheet etc.), determined that instantaneous distribution (i.e., projection configuration) is feasible when several lines are image dayside part oval adjacent regions.
