摘要: Storage plays a pivotal role in the performance of many applications. Optimizing disk architectures is design-time as well run-time issue and requires balancing between performance, power capacity. The design space large there are "knobs" that can be used to optimize drive behavior. Here we present sensitivity-based optimization for (SODA) which leverages results from digital circuit design. Using detailed models electro-mechanical behavior drives suite realistic workloads, show how SODA aid runtime optimization.
