摘要: Wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) enables the detection and diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease ulcerative colitis. However treatment these pathologies can only be achieved through conventional means. This paper describes next generation WCE with increased functionality to enable targeted drug delivery in small intestinal tract. A prototype microrobot fabricated Nylon 6 is presented which capable resisting peristaltic pressure deployment an integrated holding mechanism delivering therapy. The action by extending "anchor" spanning a 60.4 mm circumference, for 11.0 mm diameter WCE. function that occupies 347.0 mm(3) volume, including mechanics actuator. micropositioning described utilises single micromotor radially position then deploy needle 1.5 mm outside microrobot's body deliver 1 mL dose medication site. An analysis required drive overview microactuators state art discussed. It envisaged this novel will empower help diagnose treat GI
