摘要: A composition comprising thymol and eugenol, optionally a sesquiterpene alcohol, such as, farnesol or has been found to have plaque gingivitis effect. Flavoring agents may be included provide an organoleptically acceptable oral product. Australian Tea Tree oil, sage oil eucalyptol were enhance the antiplaque antigingivitis activity of mouthrinses formulated from these compositions. These compositions exhibit antibacterial effect vs. A. viscosus about 25 MIC less.
