摘要: A virtual memory system for a video editor is disclosed which permits edited material from discrete takes to be electronically spliced in real time form scenes. Typically, plurality of cameras take film originally acted scenes, either simultaneously different angles or sequentially differing the same scene replayed by skilled actors. The thereafter recorded all uncut random access memory, preferably DRAW laser disk. An intelligent interface--preferably microprocessor--connects at least two and three disk heads reading frames takes. Each head provided with reads identical containing unedited interface addresses randomly cause playing controlled speeds forwardly, backwardly still frame. controlling computer maintains immediately updates frame address list including first each take, last take. All are maintained specified serial order scene. For immediate review any an scene, commands intellignet play current positions one player on next sequential take--this being forward motion previous reverse motion.
