摘要: A constant electric field is applied to a drop on demand print head using coincident force address of selected ink drops. This can be generated by applying one potential the head, and different platen which lies opposite side recording medium. does not need modulated, or turned for each ejected. As result, simple high voltage power supply used generate field. No switching equipment required. Also, spacing between nozzles small, as nozzle separated from fields adjacent nozzles. The set insufficient cause drops drawn when in quiescent position. selection method causes meniscus protrude front surface head. Charge accumulates at protruding because radius closest point electrode. charge concentrates produced onto drop. force, combination with pressure, overcomes tension ink, separate body ink. then accelerates towards platen, striking By this means, printed medium even impart sufficient kinetic energy overcome forces
