Nuchal translucency and fetal cardiac defects: A pooled analysis of major fetal echocardiography centers

摘要: Objective Increased fetal nuchal translucency is associated with increased risk for congenital heart defects. In the present study, we aimed to investigate whether distribution differs among different types of defects and it can lead an earlier diagnosis. Study design Four echocardiography units provided data on fetuses a defect diagnosis in whom thickness had been measured first trimester. Nuchal were compared per chromosomal status type defect. Data gestational age at also analyzed. Results Six hundred thirty-seven cases known karyotype exact measurements was ≥3.5 mm 22.9% chromosomally normal (n=397) 58.8% abnormal (n=240).
