摘要: Fragmentation, or breaking apart of habitats, is one the major causes decline in biological diversity. Mature ecosystems, especially dense forests are very sensitive to this phenomenon and roads fragmentation forest landscapes. Present investigation aims trace landscape Golestan national park northeast Iran between 1987 2008 by use Landscape tool, considering hypothesis that presence road a cause fragmentation. The results research indicate considerable increase deforestation, edge amount besides decrease areas conversion large core small isolated patches, which can be interpreted as less connectivity. This easily traced near existing park, where edges have evolved from simple curve lines more complex shapes having elongated boundaries which sign being influenced anthropogenic factors.
