摘要: Abstract The thiosemicarbazone derivative of 3-hydroxynaphthalimide 1 was investigated as a colorimetric sensor for Cu2+ ions. Sensor showed pronounced selectivity and its signaling not affected by the presence common metal ions anions other than Hg2+. Interference from Hg2+ readily suppressed using iodide masking agents. formed 1:1 complex with an association constant 1.38 × 105 M−1. through color change yellow to orange observed detection limit 5.4 × 10−6 M in DMSO.
