摘要: Abstract In the framework of renewal project Swiss Strong Motion Network (SSMNet), a procedure for site characterization has been established. The aim was to systematically derive realistic 1D velocity profiles at each station. It is mainly based on analysis surface waves, particularly from passive experiments, and includes cross checks derived amplification functions with those obtained through spectral modeling recorded earthquakes. systematic use three component surface‐wave analysis, allowing derivation both Rayleigh Love dispersion curves, also contributes improvement quality retrieved profiles. applied 30 SSMNet stations installed various types within project, covering different aspects seismic risk. these sites gives an overview variety possible effects geology ground motion in Alpine area. Such ranged deamplification hard‐rock up factor 15 lacustrine sediments respect reference rock model. are shown reproduce observed empirical modeling. Although many found exhibit behavior, allows detection qualification 2D 3D effects. therefore classified occurrence 2D/3D resonance edge‐generated waves. addition large deeply incised alpine valleys Rhone, Rhine, Aar, smaller structures such as local alluvial fans behavior.
