摘要: Similar to bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), overactive (OAB) symptoms are very common and increase in prevalence as men age. Whether or not OAB thought be secondary BOO, the goal of treatment should result an improved quality life ultimately prevent clinical deterioration. A dilemma when treating with is risk acute urinary retention morbidities related increasing postvoid residuals. In this article, relationship BOO examined role urodynamics data on use anticholinergics reviewed. An algorithm for managing also proposed. without evidence (including after BOO), first-line medical therapy indicated. However, concomitant nomogram has been developed assist management patients at retention. Men significant appropriately treated decrease resistance before adding OAB.
