摘要: Abstract Objectives To investigate if monopolar (MN) and concentric (CN) electrodes are equivalent for volitional contraction jitter estimation in orbicularis oculi (OO), to study the effect of selecting a specific high-pass filter. Methods We studied neuromuscular OO on both sides 100 consecutive patients with clinical diagnosis ocular myasthenia gravis (MG). used either MN (50 patients) or CN individual patients, according randomised protocol, 1kH high pass filter one side 3kH other. Ten more potential pairs were each side. Results 48 had definite MG, 52 mimicking-disorders, who analysed as controls. In controls, (MCD) showed normal distribution independent electrode type settings. The mean value number abnormal (>10%) was similar recordings, 1 kHz 3 kHz filters. Sensitivity 73% 94% pairs. Specificity 100%. Conclusions using controls diagnostic sensitivity MG. use filters 1 did not influence these results. Significance suitable determining OO.
