Tanshinone IIA decreases the migratory ability of AGS cells by decreasing the protein expression of matrix metalloproteinases, nuclear factor κB‑p65 and cyclooxygenase‑2

摘要: During progression of gastric cancer, degradation the extracellular matrix by metalloproteinases (MMPs) has been associated with poor prognosis. Tanshinone IIA (Tan-IIA) exerts antitumor activity in a variety human cancer cells. It is extracted from Danshen (Salviae miltiorrhizae radix), and induces apoptosis inhibits proliferation However, molecular mechanisms underlying inhibition migration Tan-IIA have not fully elucidated. In present study, AGS cell ability was evaluated using wound-healing assay. The protein expression levels nuclear factor (NF)-κB-p65, cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, MMP-2, -7, -9 β-actin cells were measured western blotting. results demonstrated that treated exhibit decreased NF-κB-p65, COX-2, -7 -9. also indicate dose- time-dependent manner. These findings demonstrate decreasing may be an mechanism.
