摘要: Abstract This randomized double-blind controlled study was carried out to investigate the effect of 100 mg acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) per day on secondary prevention ischemic stroke. Patients who suffered a first stroke from 13 participating hospitals were enrolled. They independent or only partially dependent in activities daily living and all had received brain CT for diagnosis. Eligible patients randomly allocated ASA nicametate citrate (a vasodilator) groups, trial medications started within three six weeks after onset The primary end point cerebral reinfarction, intracranial hemorrhage classified as an adverse event. Four hundred sixty-six participated this study; 222 cases (136 males 86 females) group while 244 (150 94 assigned group. No significant difference baseline characteristics between two groups observed. Cerebral reinfarction developed 6.3% ( 14 ) 11.9% 29 According Cox's proportional hazards model, estimated risk ratio (ASA vs. group) 0.538, with 95% confidence interval 0.284–1.019. result borderline statistical significance. reduced by almost 50% among those took versus nicametate. © 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd
