摘要: The size of the cooperatively rearranging region (CRR) at Tg has been measured for syndiotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) confined between layers an organophilic montmorillonite (OMMT) according to method developed by Donth. results show that CRR is constrained and it starts decrease interlamella spacings up 6 times larger than Tg. This shrinkage with confinement distance discussed in term cooperativity systems nature interfacial interactions. Contrasting depression reported previous studies s-PMMA thin films, which stronger interactions were stake, a positive shift recorded lowest distances. behavior ascribed conformational rearrangements effects since weak modified clay are expected.
