Players in urban informal land markets; who wins? who loses? A case study of Cebu City

摘要: This paper describes how informal land developments for housing, more typically associated with the urban poor, are increasingly attracting middle-income households, and low income households lose out in comparison to middle upper purchase sale of housing. Drawing on research five settlements Cebu, it suggests that often sell cheaper because crisis-sales (as money is needed quickly) or a greater fear reprisal they selling do not own.
