摘要: Seam tracking is a significant precondition to obtain good welding quality. During the laser welding, beam focus must be controlled follow seam accurately. A novel approach detecting offset between and based on infrared image processing investigated during high-power fiber butt-joint of type 304 austenitic stainless steel plates at continuous wave power 10 kW. The joint gap width less than 0.1 mm. An sensitive high speed camera arranged in off-axis direction used capture dynamic thermal images molten pool. characteristics distribution radiation pool, when deviated from center, are analyzed. Two parameters called keyhole morphological parameter heat accumulation effect defined as characteristic values determine desired seam.
