摘要: Abstract Indigenous planning scholars have called for a framework that prioritizes and community values traditions while incorporating western techniques. Geodesign, an interdisciplinary method uses systems thinking, geospatial technologies, participation to address environmental, social, governance issues throughout the process, offers meets needs of planners communities. In this paper, we demonstrate Geodesign enables American Indian members be intrinsically involved in process empowers them contribute local knowledge perspectives community-based decision making land use plans. We show how was utilized develop update plan Navajo Nation’s Dilkon discuss framework’s strengths, limitations, opportunities planning. The case study illustrates able overcome barriers advance is consensus driven, supported by takes into account traditions.
