摘要: Abstract The caves near Lake Lauricocha, Peru, were excavated between the late 1950s and mid-1960s have since influenced interpretation of early man in South America. Prior to publication this paper, data used interpret age material was not based upon human skeletons themselves, but rather produced from accompanying material, such as sediment, plant remains animal bone. Radiocarbon dating 1960s often applied bones, pre-treatment methods at that time refined present with conventional techniques, quite a lot had be used. development AMS techniques requires much less for analysis sample preparation through collagen extraction means radiocarbon bones is now possible reliable method. As part wider project analyse DNA Lauricocha order elucidate migration patterns we sampled 4 11 dating. This paper reports results analysis. indicate are younger than interpreted previously determined on different material. However, does mean older analyses wrong, review our findings light previous work produce new chronology site.
