Clinical and histopathological studies of the cementoma

摘要: Although cementoma is one of the odontogenic tumors, its pathological features are complicated and sometimes difficult to distinguish from bone diseases. So it categorized as a fibro-osseous lesion. According WHO classification, classified into four lesions. However we encounter lesions mass composed only cementum which not described in above classification.In present report, studied 9 cases periapical cemental dysplasia 13 massive lesion had experienced our department.Both occured middle-aged old women ivolved mandibular molar regions. Radiologically, they appeared well defined opaque figures circumscribed by thin lucent zones. The located regions were smaller than those edentulous Periapical dysplasias produced various combinations trabecular, spherical hard tissues fused become large masses. Various stages maturation could be seen each tissue. Massive affected older patients more often dysplasias. Histologically, consisted mass, resembling mature bone. Most infected associated with abscess.We found process development lesions, but there still remain many problems before concluding that latter inactive stage former
