摘要: PURPOSE. This study was to evaluate the effect of grinding inner metal surface during porcelain try-in stage on metal-porcelain bonding considering maximum temperature and vibration samples. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Ninety-one square prism-shaped (1 × 1 1.5 mm) nickel-chrome cast frameworks 0.3 mm thick were prepared. Porcelain applied two opposite outer axial surfaces frameworks. The performed from sides with a low-speed handpiece types burs (diamond, tungsten-carbide) under three forces (3.5 N, 7 14 N) at durations (5 seconds, 10 seconds). shear bond strength (SBS) test universal testing machine. Statistical analyzes 5% significance level. RESULTS. samples subjected 3.5 N showed higher SBS values than those exposed (P .05). bur (P=.965) duration (P=.679) did not affect values. On other hand, type bur, force applied, affected temperatures samples, whereas only by (P<.05). CONCLUSION. Grinding metalporcelain strength. Although these influence [J Adv Prosthodont 2014;6:317-24]
