摘要: The environmental influence of biomass burning for civil uses was investigated through the determination several air toxicants in town Leonessa and its surroundings, mountain region central Italy. Attention focussed on PM10, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) regulated gaseous pollutants (nitrogen dioxide, ozone benzene). Two in-field campaigns were carried out during summer 2012 winter 2013. Contemporarily, quality monitored Rome other localities Lazio region. In summer, all pollutants, with exception ozone, more abundant Rome. On hand, winter, PAH concentration higher (15.8 vs. 7.0 ng/m3), while PM10 less concentrated (22 34 μg/m3). Due to lack important sources limited impact vehicle traffic, identified as major source winter. This hypothesis confirmed by molecular signature (i.e. diagnostic ratios 206 ion mass trace chromatograms). A similar phenomenon airborne particulate levels those capital city but loads) observed locations province, suggesting that uncontrolled contributed pollution across metropolitan area.
