摘要: Background: Adherence to treatment is a primary determinant of success. Caregiver support can influence medication adherence in people with cognitive impairment. This study sought characterize older dementia from the caregivers’ perspective, and identify influencing factors. Methods: Caregivers caring for person living community were eligible complete survey. Bayesian profile regression was applied determinants measured using Adherence Refills Medication Scale. Results: Out 320 caregivers who participated survey, on 221 participants identified two groups: Profile 1 (55 caregivers) mean rate 0.69 (80% Credible Interval (CrI): 0.61–0.77), 2 (166 0.80 CrI: 0.77–0.84). Caregivers characterized below data average scores following: functioning, commitment or intention, self-efficacy, health knowledge, which all above 2, except knowledge. had greater proportion care recipients taking more than five medications late-stage dementia. Trade, technical, vocational training common among 1. better patient–provider relationship less medical problems. Conclusions: Bayesian useful understanding caregiver factors that adherence. Tailored interventions guide development evidence-based interventions.
