摘要: Teenage girls seem to have been discovered by American pop culture in the 1930s. From that time until present day, they appeared books and films, comics television, as embodied fantasies nightmares of youth, women, sexual maturation. Looking at such figures Nancy Drew, Judy Graves, Corliss Archer, Gidget, Buffy Vampire Slayer, Britney Spears, Sweethearts shows how popular has shaped our view adolescent girl an individual who is simultaneously sexualized infantilized. While young women received some positive lessons from these cultural icons, overwhelming message conveyed characters stories inhabit stresses dominance father teenage girl's otherness, subordination, ineptitude.
