摘要: In this article, the relationship between generosity of pension provision and incidence homeownership is investigated by examining trends over time. The pensions-housing framed within larger context long-term changes in privatisation pensions modes financing homeownership. After critically reflecting upon how to define, measure model these developments, an explorative analysis performed using currently available macro-indicators on rates, empirical replacement rates expenditure data, for period 1990-2007. Some evidence found corroborating idea a trend towards asset-based welfare, as governments appear encourage households enter homeownership, while at same time promoting expansion private pensions, order offset consequences retrenchment policies that curb direct public welfare.
