摘要: Studies on resistance of the fungus Cercospora nicotianae to singlet oxygen generating photosensitizers revealed new insights into biological role vitamin B6. Heterologous expression a gene originally isolated because it complemented photosensitizer-sensitive mutants that this (PDXI) is an essential component in B6 synthesis. Data base analysis has organisms contain either PDXI homologues or Escherichia coli biosynthetic genes but not both, suggesting existence divergent pathways. Furthermore, efficient quencher and quenching occurs through chemical interaction during which consumed.
