摘要: Earlier phylogenetic studies based on the inferred DNA sequences of polC, rpoB and gyrA genes suggested that strains species Bacillus subtilis formed two clusters, indicating presence closely related taxa; one contained laboratory strain 168 other W23. Significant sexual isolation was found between members group containing W23, but no observed group. reassociation groups ranged from 58 to 69% intragroup relatedness 82 100%. Because were highly B. type strain, they considered be bona fide species. About 99.5% sequence identity 16S rRNA W23 groups. Subspecies distinction is proposed for groups, with names subsp. nov. spizizenii nov., respectively. The former NRRL NRS-744T latter B-23049T.
