Coamplified and overexpressed genes at ERBB2 locus in gastric cancer.

摘要: DNA copy number amplification at the chromosomal region of 17q is frequent in gastric cancer. Recently 17q21 was identified as critical for amplicon formation because this harbors ERBB2 oncogene and several other targets, such TOP2A DARPP32. In our study, we characterized (52 cases) expression (29 levels ERBB2, DARPP32 cancer samples. These 3 genes were concomitantly amplified 17% intestinal type adenocarcinoma. However, independent, showing overexpression (48%), (17%) (3%) studied by quantitative real-time PCR. The most frequently overexpressed gene, DARPP32, exhibited strong protein 45% (30/66) cases immunohistochemical study tumor tissue array.
