摘要: Background The aim of this project was to identify strategies for increasing learner engagement and knowledge retention in clinical research training complementary integrative medicine (CIM) practitioners, offer a conceptual framework address CIM practitioners. Methods In featured large-group discussion (15 min presentation 30 min discussion), two questions (strategies that are recommended overcome these barriers; relevant aspects building sustainable knowledge) were put the audience. sample consisted 43 participants at International Congress Educators Complementary Alternative Medicine, Washington, DC, October 2012. moderated detailed notes taken. Notes synthesized discussed by both authors until consensus reached. Based on results from session focused literature search, skills practitioners developed. Results Participants' responses sustainability included curricular structures, pedagogical instruction, use digital tools extend learning experience, necessity ground instruction firmly medical field, relevance mentoring. Key considerations as follows: (1) prioritizing training, (2) issues curriculum pedagogy, (3) technology/digital tools, (4) administrative challenges, (5) supporting formation communities practice, (6) cultural perspectives
