摘要: Abstract Background Pediatric skin disorders can affect children's self-esteem, relationships with caregivers and peers, performance in school activities. Objective This review describes common pediatric congenital acquired dermatologic the impact that these have on self-esteem. Methods A of current, English-language literature was conducted use PubMed database. Search terms included atopic dermatitis, acne, infantile hemangiomas, port wine stains, melanocytic nevi, hidradenitis suppurativa, Results During infancy toddlerhood, such as hemangiomas primarily attachment between child caregiver. School-aged children stains dermatitis report increased bullying, teasing, social isolation. Acne typically older teens conditions are associated risks depression suicidal ideation. Effective management has been shown to increase patients' Conclusion self-esteem throughout childhood. In addition surgical medical disorders, clinicians also take an active role assessment improvement psychosocial disorders.
