摘要: Publisher Summary Hematopoiesis is the process that leads to regulated formation of highly specialized circulating blood cells from pluripotent hematopoietic stem (HSCs) in bone marrow. This chapter focuses on interaction 1,25(OH)2D3 with normal and malignant system, especially examining ability this secosteroid induce differentiation inhibit proliferation leukemic myeloid cells. It also discusses development testing vitro vivo vitamin D analogs. The hormone has a role hematopoiesis, enhancing activity monocyte–macrophage differentiation. anti-proliferative pro-differentiation effects against various leukemia cell lines by both genomic nongenomic pathways. Nevertheless, hematopoiesis D3 receptor deletional mice fairly normal, suggesting pathway an adjunctive mammals. Although these compounds, used either alone or combined other agents, have preclinical activity, their efficacy clinical trials thus far appeared be limited.
