摘要: Abstract Objective: The goal of this study was to evaluate a conservative management strategy postoperative infection after cochlear implantation. Methods: A retrospective review the medical records 108 implant patients operated on at University California, San Francisco between 1991 and 2000 133 from Iowa 1997 showed 4 with evidence infections. clinical presentation, intervention, laboratory results, outcome are analyzed in each case. Results: Minimal surgical intervention limited incision drainage prolonged antibiotics effective treating infections without need for device removal. Implant function remained unaffected surgery. Conclusion: Postoperative can be effectively controlled management. Chronic may explained by primary immunodeficiency.
