摘要: BACKGROUND To clarify the pathology of development prostatic disorders such as inflammation, cancer, and hyperplasia, we compared histopathological findings prostate according to age group. METHODS Whole-mount sections prostates were used assess relationship between weight (n = 962), histological composition in transition zone (TZ) peripheral (PZ) (n = 68), by (n = 102), comparison latent tumor group (n = 1,815). RESULTS A rapid increase from birth 20s was followed a slow rise thereafter. Volume increases (P < 0.01) observed all components glandular epithelium, lumen, stroma TZ 40s 70s inclusive. In PZ, epithelial stromal volumes tended decrease an age-dependent manner (P < 0.05). Calculi lymphocyte infiltration detected at relatively early age, with tendency towards increase. Glandular dilation nodular hyperplasia noted first 30s group, also Latent tumors (5.6%), slowly increased thereafter. CONCLUSIONS There trend enlargement inflammation. It demonstrated that have long natural history, usually starting fourth decade life, accompanied dynamic changes tissue well cell proliferation activity. © 2005 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
