摘要: We introduce transverse diffusion of laminar flow profiles (TDLFP), the first generic method for mixing two or more reactants inside capillaries. Conceptually, solutions are injected capillary by pressure as a series consecutive plugs. Due to nature capillary, nondiffused plugs have parabolic with predominantly longitudinal interfaces between them. After injection, mixed diffusion; does not contribute mixing. To prove principle, we used TDLFP mix reactantsan enzyme and its substrate. TDLFP, incubated reaction mixtures different periods time measured kinetics. found that proceeded in time- concentration-dependent fashion, thus confirming were TDLFP.
