摘要: Summary The cell-associated glycoproteins of respiratory syncytial (RS) virus included GP1 (90K), VP70 (70K), VGP48 (48K) and GP26 (26K). Although present in infected cells, there was no purified virus. Trypsin treatment cells removed 80 to 90% as well its products GP26. This suggested that most the cell is located on plasma membrane. The RS (GP1, GP26) contain mannose, galactose fucose glucosamine, but quantity mannose low when compared other three sugars. effects follow with glycosylation inhibitors tunicamycin monensin, immunoprecipitated product pulse-chase experiments endonuclease H demonstrated contained N-linked oligosaccharides, oligosaccharides mature subunit were complex type, while both N- O-linked oligosaccharides. non-glycosylated forms have estimated mol. wt. 50K 33K respectively. Therefore, carbohydrate contribution GP1, determined by PAGE, equivalent 20K for former 57K latter. majority O-linked, a form sugar linkage not previously found among paramyxoviruses.
