摘要: Abstract To determine the prevalence of rotator cuff tears in asymptomatic shoulders we conducted a prospective clinical and ultrasonographic study 411 volunteers. We anticipated an age-dependent outcome divided patients into 4 age-groups. Overall, found evidence tear 23% patients. In group 1 (aged 50 to 59 years), 13% (22 167) had tears; 2 60 69 20% 108) 3 70 79 31% (27 87) (age >80 51% (25 49) tears. An astonishingly high rate with was thus demonstrated increasing patient age. At this stage it remains unclear, however, which parameters convert symptomatic tear. As result, must certain extent be regarded as "normal" degenerative attrition, not necessarily causing pain functional impairment.
