Hydrocarbon production allocation methods and systems

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for allocating production among reservoir compartments by way of compositional isotopic analyses. That is, where individual contribute differing amounts fluid to a commingled stream, the methods herein determine relative contribution volume from each compartment. Both composition-based an isotope-based compartment may be determined allocate compartment, determinations respectively being based on composition mass balances stable carbon isotope components. The combination both allocation analyses provides quality checks results that identify improper allocations arise. In addition allocation, other applications include, others, determining effectiveness intervention operations providing feedback adjusting operations. Advantages include lower costs, higher accuracies, ease use as compared conventional methods.
