摘要: Abstract The hydrogenation products of the solid-solution series Eu 1− x Sr Mg 2 (0 ≤ ≤ 1; MgZn -type structure) have been investigated. At ≤ 0.6 red-orange coloured hydrides composition H 6 are formed that crystallize with a disordered EuMg D structure. For > 0.8, yellow-grey (Eu ) 3 10 and Ba Ni F structure formed. deuterium distribution was ascertained for 0.6 0.4 by neutron powder diffraction (space group P 4/ mmm , = 377.27(5) pm, c = 799.3(2), Z = 1), thus confirming slightly elongated but still extremely short bond 179 pm. paramagnetic magnetic moments close to free ion value 2+ order ferromagnetically below T C = 21 15 K = 0.2 0.4, respectively.
