摘要: Laser-cooled sodium atoms pushed up on a vertical trajectory by radiation pressure are observed to turn around due gravity. The reatively long time the spent freely falling in this ``atomic fountain'' allowed ground-state hyperfine splitting be measured with linewidth of 2 Hz. After 1000-s integration time, center line was resolved \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}10 mHz. absolute 1 771 626 129(2)
