摘要: Abstract Objective To compare the tumor nature and oncological course of patients operated on by radical prostatectomy in three age groups. Materials methods From prospective completion data base our department, we analyzed 1012 between 1986 December 2009. Patients with neo- or adjuvant treatment those pre-operative PSA over 50 were excluded. The sample was divided into groups: younger than 60, 60–69 70. clinical, pathological variables, biochemical need for rescue analyzed. We consider relapse as when values reached greater 0.4 two consecutive measurements. Rescue defined hormone radiotherapy. then made a comparative study, univariate survival analysis Kaplan Meyer Curves multivariate Cox's regression. Results median follow-up 55.1 months. Of included 317 (31.3%) had progression 259 (25.6%) required treatment. observed that groups older significantly higher stages rest. No differences Gleason score surgical specimen state margins. Biochemical free at 5 years 72.3% (CI 66.4–78.2) under 60 years, 65.3% 60.6–70.0) 70 62.2% 53.2–71.1) older; P Conclusions In current worse evolution observed. However, this conditioned clinically more aggressive tumors that, opinion, justifies decision regards to approach taken these patients.
