摘要: This article provides an overview of mental health courts and diversion programs operating for offenders with illnesses in Australia. Methods that have been established Australia include Magistrates programs, psychiatric court liaison services legislative powers diversion. Some the problems associated diversionary options are discussed recommendations reform made. It is argued no matter what form take, detailed consideration must be given to how or program will evaluated sufficient funding allocated ongoing evaluation.
