摘要: Abstract. In this work we present the result of a study aimed at examining Italian earthquake sequences that occurred in area central Adriatic sea with purpose understanding whether some them were accompanied by tsunami effects. The motivation for research was update and enrichment Tsunami Catalogue. evidence found two new cases earthquake-induced tsunamis: these are August 1916 Rimini October 1930 Ancona events. bulk consisted collecting all available data on earthquakes affected selected past century identifying those potentially capable generating tsunamis. During material gathered, which includes specific monographs scientific papers, articles contemporary chronicles local national newspapers. final will improve our knowledge tsunamigenic activity contribute to assessment hazard risk along coasts, especially peak season form one most densely populated areas peninsula flat large beaches water front resorts crowded tourists.
