摘要: Reverse flow reactor (RFR) apparatuses exhibiting asymmetric feed profiles and improved distribution during heating mode and/or pyrolysis operation, methods of using same to transform a hydrocarbon into pyrolysed product are disclosed. The RFR apparatus includes an body with reaction zone having at least one bed. has central vertical axis is flanked by first second void spaces. method utilizes two oxygen-containing feeds, combustion fuel feed, purge feed. can cycle between exothermic (heated ≥700°C while maintaining pressure drop across the ≤100 kPag), (purging oxygen <6 bed volumes gas ≤35 endothermic (feeding hydrocarbons through form products, ≤70 kPag).
