摘要: Abstract The surface diffusion (spillover) through the intermetallic Pt/Pd junction of adsorbed CO (COad) during formic acid electrooxidation reaction (FAO) was analyzed on a bimetallic electrode by chronoamperometry followed stripping voltammetry. An ordered matrix equally spaced square palladium islands platinum substrate prepared Mask-Assisted E-Beam (MAEB) method in order to have large interface length/area relationship. Potential steps were applied 0.5 M HCOOH + 0.5 M H2SO4 solution (0.2 V ≤ Es vs. RHE ≤ 0.5 V) times t ≤ 500 s flow cell. After changing 0.5 M H2SO4, amount COad Pt and Pd measured voltammetric stripping. Under these experimental conditions, pure metals show presence but not Pd. results obtained demonstrate spillover from towards heterometallic junction.
