摘要: Abstract The present study examines the long-run relationship between energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission for different groups of countries comprising lower middle income, upper heavily indebted countries, East Asia Pacific, Europe Central Asia, Latin America Caribbean, Middle North Africa, South Sub-Saharan Africa aggregate data world. has been analyzed by using various econometric techniques, specifically Johnson cointegration, modified version Granger causality variance decomposition analysis from period 1975 to 2011. results confirm that there is a emissions (i.e. agricultural methane emission, nitrous oxide carbon dioxide emission) consumption. indicate causes but not vice versa. important finding GDP per unit use, which confirms led growth hypothesis in However, versa does hold. imply policy cut tends diminish though affecting negatively.
