摘要: BACKGROUND: Helicobacter pylori infection in the stomach is associated with gastric and duodenal ulcers, cancers lymphoma. The organism transmitted by ingestion, but oral-oral route fecal-oral are also suggested. prevalence of H. developing countries, including Brazil, higher than developed countries. PURPOSE: This study aimed to evaluate role oral cavity as a reservoir this species, evaluating occurrence supragingival dental plaque saliva Brazilian dyspeptic patients, whether harboring or not stomach.
